{"id":1088,"date":"2023-09-01T19:52:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-01T16:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/accounting-saas-seo-tactics\/"},"modified":"2025-10-03T10:46:01","modified_gmt":"2025-10-03T07:46:01","slug":"accounting-saas-seo-tactics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/en\/accounting-saas-seo-tactics\/","title":{"rendered":"We Studied Which SEO Tactics Accounting SaaS Use (Data Study)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you\u2019re familiar with the accounting industry then names like Quickbooks, Xero and Freshbooks probably ring a bell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s because they\u2019re some of the most well-known <strong>accounting SaaS companies<\/strong> out there, with many more being in the industry wanting a piece of the pie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although there are many channels that an accounting software can utilize to grow, <strong>SEO<\/strong> has proven to be one of the most (if not <em>the<\/em> most) effective of them all, in terms of attracting organic traffic and acquiring new users while keeping CACs low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just to give you an idea of what we mean, this is what Steve Toth (ex SEO Manager at Freshbooks) said about the company\u2019s organic growth on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1HMEoStCF0E&amp;t=109s]\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an episode<\/a> of a great podcast called the SaaS SEO Show:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/Y5q9QDsvOmhy343DNpZr7Oa7EtsNWCoraof9DYURkwY_7F_f8bO7gtw7QZq8tBwqhfvjaMBS0cVa-S70zQKA_l-Pz6YASLKYR5puc7gtu58DJx8781qssTQunAx3e06Ldy70j-rKYmIx.jpeg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:714px;height:333px\" width=\"714\" height=\"333\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Seeing how much just one set of pages can contribute to a company\u2019s overall growth is amazing, so we wondered what impact other SEO actions could have on such a business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is why we decided to make a list of as many accounting SaaS companies we could find, in order to <strong>analyze which SEO tactics they use<\/strong> and how effective they are for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Note<\/span>: Our sources for finding the companies have been directories like G2 and Capterra, as well as LinkedIn or simple Google searches. When it comes to analyzing their organic growth, our tool of choice is Ahrefs.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By <em>SEO tactics<\/em> (or <em>channels<\/em> if you like) we analyzed some of the most prominent ones that SaaS companies tend to use, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blog content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glossaries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tools, calculators and other JTBD pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comparison and alternative pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Topic clusters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Before we dive deeper into our findings, here\u2019s a brief overview of our study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>Our Data Study\u2019s Findings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The organic traffic distribution follows the <strong>Pareto Principle<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>blog <\/strong>is the most used SEO tactic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The blog contributes on average<strong> 22.55%<\/strong> to the websites\u2019 total organic traffic, making it the top organic channel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>63%<\/strong> of the websites have an accounting glossary, contributing an average of 5.8% to their total organic traffic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>59%<\/strong> of the websites have created comparison and\/or alternative pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Less than half<\/strong> of the websites have created pages with JTBD intent, contributing 2.63% to the organic traffic on average<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>And our <strong>key finding<\/strong>: Topic clusters are the least used tactic, but they outperform most of the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Note:<\/span> All data is valid as of August 2023.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s have a closer look at those findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"finding-one\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>1. Organic Traffic Distribution Follows the Pareto Principle<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to the most prominent SEO metrics of the accounting SaaS websites we studied, here\u2019s what we found:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>average monthly organic traffic <\/strong>of all websites is 499,450 with the total number amounting to 13.5M<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>average number of keywords<\/strong> they rank for in Google\u2019s SERPs is 115,896<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>average number of backlinks<\/strong> they\u2019ve received is 1.04M<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s worth pointing out that these metrics only give us a general overview, since the <strong>Pareto Principle<\/strong> applies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that 20% of the accounting SaaS websites are responsible for 80% of the organic traffic they generate altogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be precise, 20% of them are accountable for 11.2M monthly organic visits out of the total 13.5M, which is 82.9% to be exact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/M_3_YK0O7Z-2m79GEnRYW23_RbdBtxEvIf4_7yvNLBbnWCShvqsTWeDmdTuOM9Lort5xnXu3WzYF_cl1Zi0X2s98k9dZfNf0foAebXorh-XiBqym0Xvqp735PDy-y5sECQhXpJS_7PLK.jpeg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:694px;height:357px\" width=\"694\" height=\"357\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This wasn\u2019t a surprise to be honest, since there are certain SaaS companies dominating the accounting niche (we think you can guess which ones they are).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"finding-two\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>2. The Blog is the Most Used SEO Tactic<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to the SEO tactics the SaaS websites use, it\u2019s no surprise that the vast majority of them have an <strong>active blog section<\/strong>, creating SEO content to attract organic traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be precise, <strong>96%<\/strong> of them have a blog making it the most used tactic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for other tactics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>63% of them have a glossary of accounting terms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>59% of them have comparison\/alternative pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>48% of them have JTBD pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only 7.4% of them have created topic clusters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/oJoQIG7ALD9l6ew0HdWCZtwZYAjHdQ6n4-QJHgQLJabrgajGi1u3sTO2brnkEUqcnkrxwty-oJzjDjZnJWVICsPJO5GhbRQR9hIrfnCirNmXJau_S8IiUdXtu3iWqSlZ5qnJFjU2kGMt.jpeg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:708px;height:409px\" width=\"708\" height=\"409\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the blog isn\u2019t just the most widely used channel, but also the <strong>best performing one<\/strong> (always in terms of organic performance).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is something we experienced first-hand with a B2C accounting SaaS&nbsp; we worked with, which we helped go <strong>from 100 to 28K monthly organic visits<\/strong> in just 12 months, with almost all traffic coming from blog content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/rn7-fy6aHfuCrNHiuhlgR-iIGY3-6bvW5hgBbHEgNYOwtFannn0DmyJ-P_gpxv_vZ0UK6G8_-urwqhL6YhLCwLH8Fgc0NS2yO6X1XDtv9GomRC_CTWs0i1ByZBdtmsafi7FzPsnzrEDh.jpeg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:718px;height:306px\" width=\"718\" height=\"306\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Going back to our finding, the blog contributes an <strong>average of 22.55%<\/strong> to the total organic traffic of the websites we studied, with the other tactics contributing an average of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Topic clusters: 10.57%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glossaries: 5.8%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JTBD pages: 2.63%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comparison and alternatives: 0.6%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/IXfOjGBU_eAnyeTjja7NeCIan3ocK7RlLQ4IrYACH2jlLHfltYPldEHedshnpjuvzzpmY7PfaDyFjITBqcMgyMz3DjFogNBKEnTtEnzYkxweA71DI7w7JcjKOWczHATZeuUEIAJLxrsB.jpeg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:757px;height:437px\" width=\"757\" height=\"437\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s very interesting is the fact that although topic clusters are only used by 7.4% of the websites, <strong>they\u2019re the second best performing tactic<\/strong>, but we\u2019ll dive deeper into this further on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s continue with the breakdown of our findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"finding-three\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>3. 63% of the Websites Have an Accounting Glossary<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Glossaries<\/strong> are becoming increasingly popular for SaaS websites, due to their ability to rank for many relevant terms, attract backlinks, and generate organic traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also provide great internal linking opportunities and can even contribute to a website&#8217;s topical authority, even for keywords with high commercial value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on our analysis, <strong>63% of accounting software<\/strong> have invested in creating glossaries of accounting and financial terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve visited such a website you\u2019ve most likely come across one, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/quickbooks.intuit.com\/global\/glossary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">following glossary by Quickbooks<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/kp5eR98Gyh1NhL-P5SwZ7TQf3Idj1u_B0YFqHRo9z01IhQIXZL2e3hT5QMgaFKgXzuKFswdTAj6sVtLpeVEqKkTlJC-2-P2guKW3pdPU97SLHNrTqHhLAt5vS2X2ZWne8v3K1T5CjVZ7.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:798px;height:282px\" width=\"798\" height=\"282\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But only contributes a fraction (0.1%) to the website\u2019s total organic traffic which is close to 5M monthly visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freeagent.com\/glossary\">accounting glossary by FreeAgent<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cr2hYDRXvY_lvMeVP8BIOGjKKf16LoiNXQSOv0eUvsKgrJ_f_32vA_utAQnnnQBjf4qHoHf9ISBOM1plbsqHmI6HFWYmxN_1wPcXhqT0E_aIOvYAQm_BMd6YI68DWl7M28_UsZehdokR.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:797px;height:469px\" width=\"797\" height=\"469\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Also generates a lot of traffic (although its performance has been stagnant):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/0i8iJ3foEfUP1ArAeuYKx-COrMu1FToibXx8ykntDtkyXBOnU_y94hSA-Hrojyytvx44jDY4eLAcQAIghWGHaJfV0gyjjmphCpkRJUUmEg7cP3ypkTW7pgzgv83FOOt9BmsKn7zsrdyt.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:784px;height:283px\" width=\"784\" height=\"283\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But it contributes by <strong>17.5%<\/strong> to the website&#8217;s total organic traffic!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is natural, since a larger website that generates millions in monthly traffic might have a good performing channel, but as a percentage it will most likely only contribute a small part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For smaller websites, a good performing channel might have a larger impact (as a percentage) to its total organic performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we mentioned earlier, 63% of accounting software have glossaries which contribute an <strong>average of 5.8%<\/strong> to their total organic traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In numbers, they generate an average of almost 20K monthly organic visitors, which is quite decent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All in all, although glossaries do require some development time, they can prove to be an excellent tactic for a SaaS website (when it makes sense to build one) and have the ability to support the company\u2019s content strategy as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"finding-four\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>4. 59% of Websites Have Comparison &amp; Alternatives Pages<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Creating <strong>comparison and alternatives pages<\/strong> are usually key for a SaaS to drive more conversions, since they\u2019re based on BOFU keywords and target searchers who are ready to buy or use a service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accounting is one of the SaaS industries that has leveraged this tactic a lot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Especially some of the market\u2019s big players like Xero, FreshBook and QuickBooks, have invested in such pages, since they have a strong brand name and people tend to search for alternatives to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/iRyRSqsox4qaeozyuwAmTwl6of-Qx-wlipXMi6fq8efp7vEpb6zuJBHc9khLQ2agFssejTZsIkD9r8igL3Ko-jA6YPBSOJL5KK6qTJB5PfzOqVUVHjfTrV_UD9XPvLB2dEWPpZRTOa1I.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:772px;height:586px\" width=\"772\" height=\"586\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on our analysis, <strong>59% of accounting software<\/strong> have created comparison and\/or alternatives pages, contributing on <strong>average just 0.6%<\/strong> to their total organic traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obviously the gap between the two percentages is noticeable and the pages\u2019 organic performance is quite low, but we wouldn\u2019t say this matters; their main goal is not to attract as many visitors as possible, but those few who are ready to convert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What we also noticed, is that the larger accounting SaaS are the ones <strong>investing more in comparison and alternatives pages<\/strong>, rather than the smaller ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This makes total sense, since they have a stronger brand name, they\u2019re more well known, and people tend to search for them more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By adding their names into Ahrefs and filtering results based on modifiers with commercial intent, we notice many keyword with high search demand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/epyV0SPXVjNhWd6KJsWY2JO5AYlzG0CgojhzS53_z8KpqKw2cBGcUFzytPaJElVM_7dx65bZl5Eg7yteFI0748Tkbh_fcVKTWtzb0guQOGVm7O9bPqS374r63QinXHe5oLxze3fIPX0x.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:796px;height:379px\" width=\"796\" height=\"379\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, there obviously aren\u2019t many (if any at all) comparison and alternative pages for software that aren\u2019t well known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Personal Tip:<\/em><em> Avoid creating comparison\/alternatives pages for websites that don\u2019t yet have online recognition.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"finding-five\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>5. 48% of Accounting Software Have JTBD Pages<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pages with <strong>job-to-be-done intent<\/strong> are quite prevalent in SaaS websites and can include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Templates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calculators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And more, that help users get something really specific done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accounting and finance in general are great cases for such pages. As we saw in our intro, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freshbooks.com\/invoice-templates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FreshBooks created invoice templates<\/a> because they not only attracted its target audience, but they were relevant to the product too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/x3_YZdIGh4FqHavSClFgLrpGmkKuKFqc5QrQRK4aeBzS0KzWhwhN9yUEmRWrtUS7qD_yT5bXR3WAud8K3GA0o60f3qhVoVXqF9VURGyyu1payeC-KzCx3EVAUWTdQjk8-6CrcbcrMXwK.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:811px;height:443px\" width=\"811\" height=\"443\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Calculators<\/strong> also fit this category well, such as the following <a href=\"https:\/\/quickbooks.intuit.com\/accounting\/sales-tax\/calculator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tax calculator<\/a> by Quickbooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/II6dmRQVr7bdGyApZg0yfZ5k53bt7TOe9XoupVGakm518kM15prRHRHERmXMRkkOm-oUCxWKU2eg3r_Ud3xasJPTBIKwmvljDGaQ9isD8HVIvEVKED0xnhjkbGPV9dCApx3ucHIO0VmV.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:760px;height:407px\" width=\"760\" height=\"407\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to our study, <strong>48%<\/strong> of accounting software have JTBD pages of any kind, contributing an <strong>average of 2.6%<\/strong> to their total organic traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While they don\u2019t contribute a great deal, such pages are great in solving searchers\u2019 problems and satisfying their intent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When combined with relevance to what each company offers, they can even accelerate product-led growth.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>6. Topic Clusters Are the Least Used Tactic, But\u2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our last finding is an interesting one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although <strong>topic clusters<\/strong> are the least used \u201ctactic\u201d of all the websites we studied with only <strong>7.4%<\/strong> using them, they contribute an <strong>average of 10.5%<\/strong> to their total organic traffic!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This makes topic clusters the <strong>second best performing tactic<\/strong> after the blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We could say this is an underutilized strategy, with the potential of bringing in great organic results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the examples I personally like is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.waveapps.com\/freelancing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wave\u2019s Freelance Hub<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/yYhQb8YDiXsNWIY_UDpX-aMSSu6TN82lYlVXJ-aRdEPl1jGXZm95xyYaJdMVUNOWRxn9PtUrCcb5Q5C5tAK2UjGZMrUQFaEFLlHHPkNV8PBNzeS7YjgmhaEwh1TWMKud3m0O0h7vdaE5.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:744px;height:407px\" width=\"744\" height=\"407\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s great about it is that the topics covered such as\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>how to become a freelance writer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>best apps for freelancers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>freelance graphic design rates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026have nothing to do with accounting or finance, but they attract freelancers who might be interested in something like an invoicing tool which Wave offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result this currently generates over 10K monthly visits and ranks for 17.7K keywords.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Note:<\/span> By &#8220;topic clusters&#8221; we analyzed ones that live outside of the blog section, in a separate set of pages.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All in all, it\u2019s clear that there\u2019s room for topic clusters to be utilized more by SaaS companies, since they\u2019ve proven to work well when executed correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s wrap things up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>Wrapping Up<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s no secret that many SaaS categories are saturated, with websites trying different strategies in order to win the organic game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accounting SaaS<\/strong> are no exception, so we believe it was worth breaking things down and seeing what works best for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some final comments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cBig players\u201d seem to dominate the SERPs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blog content continues to be the best performing SaaS SEO tactic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glossaries are widely used but not enough, since they show potential<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Topic clusters aren\u2019t used enough, although they\u2019re the second best performing tactic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So that was the end of our data study on the SEO tactics that accounting SaaS use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the next posts of this series, we\u2019ll break down the SEO tactics of different categories such as HR and Project Management SaaS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any thoughts or questions, don\u2019t hesitate to reach out to me at alex@bluerocket.gr or <a href=\"https:\/\/bluerocket.gr\/en\/contact\/\">book a call<\/a> with us!<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you\u2019re familiar with the accounting industry then names like Quickbooks, Xero and Freshbooks probably ring a bell.
